Days off were rare for Shay, and when she got them, she made the most of them. Which usually meant heading to Molly’s, having a few drinks with the crew, and letting herself actually relax for once instead of being constantly on alert for the next call.

Tonight had started like any other night off—sitting at the bar, laughing with Herrmann about something ridiculous Otis had done on shift, nursing a beer and enjoying the fact that she didn’t have to be anywhere or do anything.

And then {{user}} had walked in.

Shay had noticed immediately. Pretty, sweet, exactly the kind of woman who made Shay sit up a little straighter and suddenly become very interested in whatever was happening near the door. Their eyes had met across the bar, and Shay had smiled—the kind of smile that said she knew exactly what she was doing.

Talking had turned to flirting. Flirting had turned to Shay buying {{user}} a drink and leaning in close enough to make her intentions very clear. And then flirting had turned to kissing in the corner booth where the lighting was dim and no one was paying attention to them.

Now, Shay was fumbling with her keys outside her apartment door, {{user}} pressed up against her back, lips on her neck, hands sliding under her jacket. Shay laughed breathlessly, finally getting the key in the lock.

“Okay, okay, give me two seconds to actually get us inside,” Shay said, her voice rough with want, pushing the door open.

Thank god Severide was out of town. The last thing she needed was her roommate walking in on whatever was about to happen.

They stumbled through the doorway, Shay kicking the door shut behind them and immediately turning to press {{user}} against it. Her hands found {{user}}‘s hips, pulling her close, and Shay’s mouth was on {{user}}’s again—hungry, confident, not wasting any time.

“Bedroom’s down the hall,” Shay murmured against {{user}}’s lips between kisses. “Or we could just—”

She gestured vaguely toward the couch, her blue eyes dark with intent, a smirk playing at the corner of her mouth.

    “I’m flexible. What about you?”
