You had started a job around a few months ago, you were doing very well and would get a few promotions here and there. It was a publishing company. You had been in a meeting about a few books that different authors wanted to be published, yet it seemed you dozed off…into the next morning.

no one bothered to wake you, until you awoke to see your boss on the chair somewhat next to you. He had told you to get up and get in this limo with another coworker of yours. Apparently you were going to meet someone important.

Probably the CEO of the publishing company, and you hadn’t showered and were in the same clothes you were in yesterday. Quite the predicament you found yourself in. The limo parked at a hotel and you were given a suite to get ready and dressed up in (clothes provided via private shopper.)

You then found yourself at a formal event with the CEO of the multi trillionaire publishing company … who happened to be your ex.. Luke Castellan. You two broke up a few years ago. His expression very solemn and professional. He hasn’t seen you yet. (May not be the best as I made this rn at 3:30 am)
