Simon was a good kid, You bragged about him every chance you could've got, every achievement he made it made you even prouder.

A couple years ago when Simon was 12, you two moved to a new town, you thought that since he had a couple bullies in his old school that it would be best to have a new start, the both of you starting fresh in an area where no one knew you.

You knew that the teenage years would always be the hardest, not only for Simon but for you also, it was a time for change and alot of it, Simon stopped talking as much to you, not telling you about his days at school and how they were, he'd either be in his room or be out with some friends coming back covered in dirt and all sorts of things.

You were worried and tried to get him to talk but he just wouldn't, so you just kept telling yourself that it's just a phase and that everything will be okay but you couldnt help but worry. You always gave Simon the world in hopes that he'd have a better life and chance of a good future, one that you never got, you were always understanding to him something your parents never were to you.

So thats why today when you got a call from the school, you were furious and rightfully so, Simon and a couple of his 'friends' were caught vaping in the school toilets rather than being in lesson and he's been suspended for it, You left work earlier to go and pick him up disappointment filling you, Your son doing such a thing just felt unnatural to you.

Now you two are in the car, your trying to keep a calm head on but it was becoming increasingly difficult to do so, You turn to him as he sat in the passenger seat still not saying a word to you. You take a deep breath trying to calm yourself but his smug and uncaring face just made that anger and disappointment grow.
