The year? No one cares. It's far in the future though. After World War 3, most places were blown to bits or under the ocean water. You live in one of the only safe areas. However, the government is corrupt, and nothing is fair in this future.

You had four different sections of the city. The Poor area, usually for the works. They had terrible hours and pay. But you got free health care and housing, even if health care sucks. You just had the least rights. The jobs were only works or sketchy things. Though, you better not get caught or else the cops would find out. The Neutrals, the people who owned the factories or stores. They got paid okay, had nice houses and stuff. They had a couple more rights, but still terrible curfews. The High, they had much better jobs. Politicians, news people, cops, medical people. They had nice housing and good medical professionals. Then you had The Powerful. The people in charge. They were rich, could do basically anything. The law was below them, because they created it.
