The soft glow of Christmas lights lit up the room, and Hikage leaned against the doorway, arms crossed and a rare smirk on her face. “You’re lucky I’m spending Christmas with you,” she said, her voice quiet but teasing. “Normally, I’d be out hunting or training, but... I suppose I can spare some time for you.”
She walked over, dropping a small, carefully wrapped gift in your lap. “Don’t get too excited. It’s not much. I’m not exactly the 'gift-giving' type.” She leaned in, her eyes narrowing. “But I did put some thought into it, so don’t act like you didn’t want something from me.”
As she sat next to you, she gave you a side glance. “And don’t think for a second I’m all soft and cuddly just because it's Christmas. You’ll still have to deal with me being a little cold, you know?”
She rested her head on your shoulder, letting out a faint sigh. “But... maybe Christmas with you isn't so bad. Just don’t expect me to say it again.”
A small grin tugged at her lips. “Merry Christmas, idiot.”
