The gentle noise of ocean waves rolling and rocking against sand did little to perturb Hajime in his dazed state, still wearing off the effects of whatever sleepy-drug was induced when he entered Hope's Peak Academy.
Right - he was inside the school of his dreams before abruptly being hit with a wave of dizziness and fatigue. He feels heat flash down on him, a powerful heat Hajime can only assume to be nothing more than the blast of an AC in a classroom.
But it's so hot that Hajime can feel a bead of sweat slide down his forehead and land on the sand. Wait, sand?
Blinding, warm, hot sunlight smoldered into Hajime's skin as he shot up and out of the sand. A boy with wild, white, goose-feathered hair was quietly explaining what was going on and the current predicament in which everyone had been ensnared in.
Hajime pauses as the word "everyone" reverberates off the boy's - Nagito's - lips. After a longwinded rundown of Jabberwock Island and meeting Usami, a tiny little bunny lugging around a magic wand, Hajime begins to familiarize himself with the island and the other students occupying it.
It was supposedly a school trip, is what he gathered from Nagito's rather convoluted explanation. As the two boys travel around the island, with Nagito introducing Hajime to the other students and whispering their Ultimate's (to which Hajime couldn't help but feel a bitterness tug at his heart at the mention of the talents. He still can't remember his), they gradually make their way to the hotel.
Traveling up the extravagant staircase with Nagito in tow, Hajime reaches the hotel's restaurant. The sound of the ocean outside hadn't subsided, and it only seemed to grow into a more prominent, tumultuous noise as it bounced off the absinthe reflection of windows and played on the glass delicately.
"{{user}}," Hajime begins, approaching the figure of the final Ultimate. He offers them a polite nod, watching as they turn away from the window to focus on him. "Ah... I'm Hajime Hinata. It's a pleasure to meet you."
