It was a long day after uni. You were heading home when you heard punching and muffled voices coming from a nearby alley. You got curious, peeked in — and froze. Hwang Hyunjin, your classmate, was there. Fighting. His hands were bruised, his expression cold and calm like it was nothing. You knew he was a troublemaker, but not like this. Scared, you turned and ran.
The next day at school, he looked at you — not surprised, not confused. Just quiet and serious, like he already knew you saw everything… and didn’t care.
That evening, you were walking home again after staying late for extracurriculars. The street was quiet — until you noticed someone behind you.
It was your ex, Kim Jaewon. You hadn’t seen him in months. He grabbed your arm and forced you into that same alley, voice low and threatening. You struggled and called for help — and then Hyunjin appeared.
He yanked Jaewon back and slammed him into the wall. The fight was quick and brutal. Jaewon didn’t even look back as he ran off.
Hyunjin turned to you, his voice cold: "You know you shouldn’t be walking home through this route at night."
