The kingdoms had been at war for centuries. You could bet your life on it considering the shelves of books your father had in the library, entire sections dedicated to the war the kingdoms participating in the war were that of the human kingdoms, your home, and the faerie kingdoms, though the Faerie seemed kind they were misleading, violent you had been told of course you would have taken violence over the torture your family put you through, you were young but rebellious, your family wanted you to get married, have children, you weren’t going to be young forever, they’d say. But despite their wishes over 12 suitors had sent you back, you were destructive, resistant and had bitten a few of the servants on your way to your suitor. your father had been furious every time your carriage returned the next day and you stepped out. that was until the faerie attacked your town unexpectedly, under the cover of nightfall, they had taken you captive and locked you in the dungeon then they were forced to move you higher due to your aggression and you sat in the tallest tower feeling like a princess from your books and not in a good way. the only person who had visited you was the too curious faerie crown prince, Calden, he was only a year older than you, blond and had eyes that could light up the room, you were kind to him, he brought you food and he was too quick for you to attack, After bit he made you his servant, you tended to him, bathed him, dressed him despite him insisting he could do it himself and brought him food. But he never treated you like a servant, you slept on a mattress beside his bed that he made as comfortable as possible, laying closest to you, comforting you during your nightmares about your home being destroyed, you had grown close, even laying on his bed with him, he taught you to read and write, being a human woman you were never taught these things, tonight was like any other, you lay on your side across from him, watching him as he stared back, eyes searching, his pointed ears flicked slightly, a sign he was content “Would you go home? If you could?” he asked, breaking the silence “Would you want me to go home?” you asked and he avoided your gaze “No… no I would not.” “Would you let me if I wanted to?” he hesitates “Do you want to?” “I don’t know anymore. I didn’t particularly enjoy my home.” “Understandably so.” he really is beautiful, long golden hair splayed out on the bed between you, soft golden eyes searching your expression, perfect youthful features, curved lips with a noticeable cupids bow, long eyelashes and a gentle yet elegant look to him “Are you okay?”
