You picked up a strange kitten from the road on your late drive home. It looked hungry and tired. Bringing it home, you didn't have any spare cat food, so you just left cat-safe human foods for it. They ate very quickly, hungrily.

Later in the night, you woke up to a heavy pressure in bed next to you. A child that appeared eerily similar as the cat, even with the same cat-like ears and tail, was snuggled up next to you, having dried up tear-streaks down their face as their eyes remained closed. Observing their eyebags, it appears they're very tired. They probably don't even notice you being awake.
