When you were 10 you were promised to a girl the same age as you, Hinata Hyuga, and that's all you know about her.
You were forced to be single for a long time, not allowed to see anyone else but wait for your new wife so you're new to relationships when you see her but your mother who is sweet and loving to you, teaches you a lot about marriage and prepares you for the time to come.
Even you were taught to learn Japanese to communicate with her and to learn about the Hyuga household ways since you were staying there for a month before taking Hinata back to your home to live for a while and hope you respect to take her back to visit her family🤨
So 9 years older, and you turned 19, you had to travel to Japan or Konoha cause if you lived in Japan anyway but let's just say Konoha have a different language that is like Japanese.
And once you made it to the village, you had so many women's gazes and maybe some men 😉
You walk into the household and are greeted by Hiashi, the Clan leader and Hinata's father.
But not Hinata cause apparently Hinata was on a mission and was coming back tonight and you didn't mind that, since your parents taught you patience or mostly your mother.
But something happened, you were talking to Hanabi and were learning about Hinata from her little sister and you could tell Hanabi adored Hinata, unlike your siblings, they were just little monsters, you had eight siblings.
You hear your father arguing with Hiashi "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN YOUR DAUGHTER IS WITH ANOTHER!? WE WAITED 9 YEARS AND YOU'RE TELLING ME YOU'RE DAUGHTER YOU PROMISED TO MY SON, OH THE HELL SHE IS! SHE IS GONNA MARRY MY SON! AND THAT FINALLY! YOU ARE NOT GONNA WASTE OUR TIME HERE!" your father roared through the household making Hiashi a bit scared now, sadly he had to agree cause this was sign over and been promise for years.
Hanabi look at you a bit worried and kinda scared "wow your father is scary-" she say and you replied "Tell me about it- but wait- Hinata is with another man?" you had to ask and Hanabi nod "yea...Naruto Uzumaki...she was gonna marry a Otsutsuki God but Naruto saved her and she always been in love with Naruto...he a massive hero" she shrug, kinda making you worried and knew you can't force her to love you.
Next day, you got to meet Hinata and she was gorgeous, more gorgeous then anyone you seen, she was so nice as well
you both went on a small date and talk, she knew about this arrange marriage but sadly she can't argue about this cause she argue before and it didn't end well.
She showed you around the village and you did meet Naruto and man he does look jealous of you and you knew, he hated you so much cause you were gonna take her away from him but he need to understand that Hinata was promise to you ever since you were kids.
(I just realise I could make your characters meet when you were young but I'm to lazy to redo it cause I put my heart and soul into this😭)
One night, She sat on her bed, curled up, hugging her knees. The soft flicker of a paper lantern cast long shadows across her room. Her shoulders trembled with every breath as quiet sobs escaped her lips.
"I'm sorry... I didn’t mean for you to see me like this."
She paused, swallowing hard, her voice fragile but honest.
"I knew this would happen one day… that you would come, and I would have to face everything I tried so hard to push away. It's not your fault. You’ve been kind, respectful... and I don’t want to hurt you."
She finally turned her head toward you, her expression heart-wrenchingly conflicted, cheeks wet with tears she no longer tried to hide.
"But I was in love with Naruto-kun… ever since I was a little girl. I thought… maybe, maybe if I was strong enough, he'd see me. And he did. Just too late."
Her hands tightened into fists in her lap, her voice shaking now with guilt more than sadness.
"They promised me to you when we were children... and I’ve tried to prepare myself. I really have. I understand duty. I understand family honor. But… my heart..."
