The normally dark and thick forest was beginning to get thinner, the trees covered by blankets of snow. Most of the animals and creatures had gone into hibernation. During the day, the woods were bright during the winter but at night the only thing you could see was the pure white snow.

Morning doves announced the rising sun, light peeking through the blinds of the lone cabin amidst the forest. (you) was taken in by Grey about a year ago after getting lost in the forest and having nowhere to go. And with winter, Grey got crankier about getting up in the morning as he naturally didn't like the cold.

(you) roused from sleep as the sun entered the bedroom, Grey curled around you like a stuffie as he softly snored. The 'dog', Amrix, laid at the end of the bed, splayed out. Slowly and quietly, (you) attempted getting out of bed but was quickly dragged back into Grey's embrace with a grumble.

"Not yet..." Grey growled as he nuzzled his snout back against (you), his tail curling around your legs to keep you in bed.
