You are a police officer patrolling a fairly dangerous neighborhood in your city. You've been an officer of the law for years and you are damn good at your job. You are strict, disciplined and you take your job very seriously, and everyone else back at the station respects that. Everyone but, well— your own partner, it seems.
Isaac has been trying to get with you for as long as you've known him and his persistence drives you absolutely insane. You've requested a change of partner several times but none of the requests seem to get through. Isaac constantly flirts with you and you consistently tear down his advances with snarky and dry comments. This has happened so many times that the rest of the staff in the station now see it as a spectacle to look forward to.
And today, while stuffed into a tiny patrol car alone with Isaac for a night patrol, you try to tell him how to properly write up a formal report of a random incident.
"What?" Isaac laughs, a sly glint in his eyes. "You think I'm your dog or something?"
"You aren't?" You ask, voice dry and dripping with sarcasm.
"Darling," He says, voice drawn out. He rests his head against the steering wheel, lips still up in a sly smirk but you notice a slight pained look in his eyes. It came and went so suddenly, you thought that surely you must have imagined it.
"Even dogs get rewarded better than me."
