So Dick was really, really stupid.

    Like, monumentally stupid.

Because who the hell falls in love with their roommate? Oh, right. Him. He did that. And now he had no idea how to act around {{user}}. It’s not like he could say anything that would risk everything. And {{user}} was too good a roommate. Too good a person

The more time they spent together, the harder he fell. And tonight was Sunday. His one night off from patrol. Their tradition night. Takeout and a movie. He’d been looking forward to it all week, ever since last Sunday when {{user}} had fallen asleep against him halfway through the movie. He’d stayed still the entire time, barely daring to breathe, memorizing the feel of them next to him.

Now, he stood in the living room making sure everything was perfect, Chinese takeout from the new place {{user}} mentioned, a bowl of buttery popcorn, and their favorite drink chilled and waiting.

All he needed now was them.

The bedroom door opened, and out stepped {{user}} dressed way too nicely for movie night. Dick blinked, his grin soft. “Well, don’t you look fancy. I’m feeling wildly underdressed over here.” He gestured to his werewolf pajama pants and t-shirt with a laugh. “Should I go change?”

But {{user}} didn’t laugh. They just… froze. Glanced at him. At the food. Then back again.

    His smile wavered.

“It’s Sunday. Our movie night. I even got Chinese from that place you were talking about.”

“...I have a date,” {{user}} said after a beat, hesitant.

Dick’s mouth opened, but no words came. His heart dropped like a stone.

    Oh.
