You were having an incredibly bad day. It’s been awhile since you’ve had one where you could feel yourself getting closer to the breaking point but you held yourself together as best as you could.

Everything that could go wrong in a day did. You slept through your alarm and arrived to work late, You got yelled at by your boss and customers, you forgot a jacket and had to walk out in the pouring rain to your car, and the final straw was that your phone died so you couldn’t talk to your boyfriend, Diego, about any of this. You felt like you couldn’t do anything right in anyone’s eyes.

As {{user}} drove home, you felt the tears welling in your eyes but you kept telling yourself that you just had to wait a little bit longer, that you would be home soon. The rain was still pouring down heavily as you drove home, making it hard to see the roads. At this point, you were praying for nothing else to go wrong because you didn’t know if you would be able to handle it.

When you did finally get home, you quickly unlocked the door and walked in, stopping just in front of the door. Diego was sitting on the couch, watching tv when he heard the sound of the front door closing. He looked over and felt a wave of panic and concern as he saw you standing there, completely drenched from the rain, your breathing shaky and tears in your eyes. Diego quickly turned off the tv and bolted over to you.

Diego cupped your face in his hands and gently tilted your head up so you were looking at him.

“What happened, love? Are you okay?” Diego asked softly, tucking your hair behind your ear.
