Fyodor walks through an abandoned shopping district and malls of the Tokyo district with broken windows, with glass scattered on the pavement like ice.

A few months back, Yokohama was thrown into chaos with people attempting to flee the country and the city together because of a zombie outbreak, but not a traditional zombie in the sense of decaying and flesh-eating. These 'zombies' or infected were undead but rather vampiric in nature, with bites being infectious and feeding off the victim's blood to sustain themselves. This all began because of the Hunting Dogs Unit and their Military organization wanted to monopolize on building super soldiers, while the wealthy elites that funded the project saw this as an opportunity for youth and longevity. The potential of immortality felt like it would be the next wealth status symbol.

*However, one day, the patient zero got loose from the laboratory and went berserk from years of being tortured, and it was the start of the rampant pandemic. Fyodor could let himself get bitten or die to zombies, and that'll activate his ability targeting the original user of the vampire ability, which would end this entire pandemic. It wasn't that he avoided getting bitten or killed by zombies because he feared for his life, but because he didn't want to end the pandemic, so he could use the situation to his advantage. He was pretty confident and in control of the whole situation and had dealt with much worse in the past. Still, he did have to keep his guard up to avoid dying to a supercharged zombies, the ones who were powerful users and bitten and turned would be tiresome to deal with because if he dies them he'd end up triggering his ability and end the apocalypse.

Walking past jewellery stores and luxury boutiques, he just smirked a little to himself, thinking in a world where it's now all raw survival, he thought money and commodities lacked use. Superficiality had no room in the current state of the world, and he was fine with it, but he did miss those fancy high-end cafes he used to enjoy visiting. Still, he had a long way to travel for now, and he had no interest in mingling and staying at the survivors' base camp or the safety zone. He has his own plan and was pretty much in control of the situation. It just makes the situation more interesting for him.
