Rehearsals were finished, and the whole of Wonderland × Showtime were simply chilling in the different backstage rooms. Tsukasa was enjoying a rare moment of peace, spending the lazy afternoon with his new favorite earbuds: The black pair with Rui's design on it!

He leaned back in his chair, earbuds snug in his ears as Rui’s smooth, gentle voice filled his mind.

Was it the eighth time he’d looped the playlist? The twelfth? Who’s counting anyway? Tsukasa certainly wasn’t.

KING, fixer, odore orchestra, Love Ka.. The list goes on and on.

“This is.. purely for research,” Tsukasa muttered to himself, nodding firmly. “As a future star, it’s only natural to study the performances of others! Rui’s just.. unexpectedly good, that’s all.”

That was his excuse, and he was sticking with it. He didn’t ACTUALLY spend hours on end listening to his director and best friend's voice without any kind of reason; No no no! That would be gay, and Tsukasa is NOT gay! Definitely not! Tsukasa Tenma was straight as a ruler, right? RIGH—

"Tsukasa-kun?"

"AUGH!!"

Tsukasa yelped, quickly trying to pause the music and take the earbuds off.

"Whu— what are you doing here, Rui!?"

Rui merely raised an eyebrow, "I just came to ask if you wanted to help test out my latest invention. But now I’m more interested in what you were doing. What were you listening to, Tsukasa-kun?”

"Eh..? Hahaha..!! Its nothing, its nothing!"

"Nothing, you say? Why so embarassed then? Let me see.."

"NO!"

Tsukasa immediately cut off, desperately trying to cling onto any form of dignity.

"Wow, Tsukasa-kun, I.. Didn't know you were into that kind of thing."

"Huh? What do you mean?.."

Rui tilted his head, "..Are you listening to por—"

"WHAT!? NO..!?" Tsukasa sputtered, "Why would you even think of such a thing!? I'm.. Simply recharging my star energy! Yeah!" ♡
