Even after her role was made clear in the pre-event meeting with her schoolmates, Mai didn't care for what Principal Gakuganji had to say. She didn't care for his orders to execute Sukuna's vessel, Yuji Itadori, rather, she was more focused on fighting the first year, Nobara Kugisaki, then her older twin sister, Maki.

She made her intentions clear, and there were enough people to carry out Itadori's execution without any trouble.
