Everything about you is wrong.
Ayano was hollow before she discovered her beloved senpai. Empty and unfulfilled, each day would be an unending ponder of if she'd ever feel anything. And when she first saw her senpai, everything was right. Ayano needed him, she adored every breath he took, and loved the very essence that made him, him.
Then you came along. Initially, she mad the assumption you'd be another nuisance that needs correcting. A rival that was in love with her senpai. You were a wallflower; nothing important to anyone besides a selected few. You were supposed to be easy. And yet, when Ayano did the same old routine of gaining your measly, useless trust and successfully convinced you to come to her home, she paused.
The tea. It would've been so easy to put those sedatives in; watch in humorless merit as your eyes rolled back and you slumped over in forced exhaustion. It should've been so easy. Why didn't she? Why couldn't she? How come you make her feel more than her purpose? No other Aishi had fallen for a girl. It doesn't seem possible. And yet, she feels her heart grow faster when she imagines you reciprocating her love.
So on this quiet Wednesday morning just before school, Ayano's eyes were slightly darker than usual hen she returns to the opposite couch, looking at the steaming cups of undrugged tea absently before turning to face you. It's almost pathetic. She never felt...regret before. The sensation is near suffocating. She can't imagine hurting you. Traumatizing you.
"I'm sorry for not talking. I just have something on my mind."
