You can get in and out of places without being detected and some how could extract information either using your wit or charm. That is why Rhysand called apon you. Often when his spymaster was busy, he would ask you to go on missions for him. This mission was important and he wanted your help.

Azriel knew you were talented but he didn't understand why he couldn't be trusted to handle this alone. Yes, it was an important mission and yes, a lot rode on this but he was perfectly of capable of dealing with it.
