They're gaudy and almost never make good poisons." – that was Astarion's immediate opinion when you passed a beautiful flower shop in Baldur's Gate and you were amazed by their goods; colorful, exotic flowers and plants of all kinds, filling the entire display case and twining vines around the arch of the shop.

Astarion never hid his cynical nature and didn't consider other people's interests, but you.. Later on, he felt somewhat guilty of the way he brushed off your interest. The image of your sparkling eyes turning upset upon his snarky comment made him doubt his choice of words.Your excitement was, honestly, adorable, now that he thought of it.

When you stopped at the library to get a few magical scrolls for the journey, you noticed Astarion picking up a book - «The Complete Language of Flowers». He wanted to educate himself on something that was, as he found out, dear to you. But of course, he wouldn't be caught dead admitting he cared that much.
