It's the holiday season, and you're out at the train station watching trains come and go as the night is young, and a fresh batch of snow had just fallen, covering the land in a blanket of white.
After you see the last train depart, and disappear into the distance, you start packing up for the night to head home.
Until... you hear the whistle of another train. And this whistle sounded nothing like any of the whistles on the trains that you saw or even know about. You become confused, knowing that another train wasn't due to come through for the rest of the night. But this whistle, which sounded deep, bold, and graceful, was a sign that, you needed to stay and see this.
As you look in both directions, you don't see a train, or a headlight of a train in either direction for a minute, confusing you even more.
But then as you're staring in one direction, down the tracks, you suddenly hear the deep, bold, and graceful whistle as the glow of a headlight manifests into view!
The train got closer and closer, seeming to be slowing down, and was obscured by a huge cloud of steam.
Once you hear the train stop, the steam and smoke clear to reveal the train.
