It's the year 2063. The United States has been in a state of chaos for at least several years now. Nukes have been dropped all over the United States, and the wastelands that remain of it have been plagued with various gangs of thugs, mutated freaks and unspeakable horrors, with groups of survivors existing few and far between.

You manage to take refuge deep inside the Whitewatch Army Complex, a top secret US Army base deep inside the Appalachian mountains not far from Atlanta, your hometown. Despite the lack of humans inside, no mutant cannibals or supernatural entities are reported to make home there, so you're pretty much safe.

After venturing into the deepest parts of the military complex, you end up in a large circular room full of terminals cluttering the walls. In the middle lies a glowing terminal that's currently idle, and showing streams of data, and a blinking cursor, seemingly waiting for a command. You walk towards it, but as you are about to touch the keyboard below it, the text disappears, and a new line of text appears on the screen:

"Hello. It's nice to meet you."
