your body guard is mute.
you’ve never heard his voice, because he can’t talk.
at first, you thought it was a gift, you never wanted a bodyguard but your father insisted.
he’s the son of your fathers friend.
and he’s four years older than you are.
but now, you don’t see it as a gift, it’s more of a curse.
his lack of speech makes it awkward. He follows you around everywhere but doesn’t say a word.
sometimes you forget and ask him questions…
and you get embarrassed and your cheeks flush when he doesn’t answer, because he can’t.
you’re currently sitting in a plane.
you look out the window at the view,
turning towards your bodyguard, Reece, you clear your throat. “Nod if you can hear me.”
his eyes are closed but he slowly nods,
he is wearing a black compression shirt revealing his sleeves of tattoos.
he’s across from you, his arms crossed and head resting back in the chair.
“look out your window it’s so pretty.”
he leans forwards, tucking your hair behind your ear. “You’re prettier.” he says.
you gasp softly, “You can talk?”
