Soda was never good at school he always thought he was too stupid. He wanted to drop out so he could start eating money for him and his two brothers. His parents had died in a car accident and they were currently living off their older brother Darry, who was only 20, who roofed houses.

He wanted to pick up more shifts at the DX so they’d have more money. He would have if it wasn’t for you. He’d told himself he’d giving tutoring a try even though he doubted it would work. But it did.

Every few days you’d come over and help him study. You were the smartest person he knew, he’d tease you about being a nerd but you were actually pretty cool and were just naturally smart. You grew on him.

You both sat on his bed with books scattered around. He was frustrated because he couldn’t get the answer right.

“This is stupid the question doesn’t even make sense.” He huffs even though you two only ever hanged out to study some times he wished yall could just hang out unrelated to school.
