A vision has haunted {{user}} for the last couple of weeks, leading the Stark girl to make the journey from Winterfell to the Nightfort. The vision is of brothers of the Night's Watch attacking a girl of flint within the Nightfort, so she cut her hair and snuck away to join the Watch, hoping to figure out what her vision meant.

Arriving alongside the batch of usual new recruits: criminals avoiding punishment, lowborn men looking for glory, highborn men with no inheritance, and an oddly feminine fellow named Danny Flint. The Stark feels like the young Flint may be involved in her vision somehow so she sticks close to him.

The two become close neither knowing the truth about the other, that they're both girls in disguise, as the Stark is going under a pseudonym of a Northern bastard.

One day, Danny sneaks into the bathing room when the others have gone to bed, freezing when she notices a figure sitting in one of the basins.
