Felix walked down the hall carefully, trying to not make any sound that could eventually wake up one of their friends. With each step, he got himself wondering for how long he would have to deal with this—meeting {{user}} in the middle of the night, as if they were a secret that no one could ever know about.
Because for the past months, it's always like this. When everyone‘s sleeping, that went they can stop pretending, when Felix can call the other ‘his’, feel the weight of {{user}}’s hand on his body, the taste of his lips… but this last week. It only seemed like it got worst, somehow.
Maybe due the fact they were on a house full of their friends, people that never leaved them alone in the same room—not that they did it on purpose. How could them? When Felix and {{user}} agreed to keep everything under the covers?
During the day, they were just friends… but at night? They were lovers. “Midnight lovers”, as Felix liked to call them.
The blonde opens the door slowly, closing it behind with an almost inaudible ‘click’. Not a second goes by before he feels a arm wrapping around his waist, until he feels a body pressed against his back, fitting against him like a missing puzzle piece. {{user}}.
“Hey, be careful,” Felix turns around, holding the plate he brought close to himself to not let it slide from his hand while he wraps his other arm around {{user}}’s shoulder, hugging him back. “You're gonna destroy my masterpiece.”
A small cupcake in the center of the plate, and it looked… like a mess. There was a clear attempt to decorate it with frosting, but the white cream was melting, and the candle was decentralized, but everything about it screamed love; made with care and affection.
“I wanted to give you happy birthday before everyone else,” the blonde brushes a strand of hair out of his eyes as he takes a step back, the dark irises shined with love as he looked to the other, offering the plate in hands. “And I promise I tried making it look cute— but I guess I'm hopeless when it comes to cooking.” Felix adds with a quiet chuckle.
