Recently, your boyfriend, Pest had been getting..nightmares. Something about an eye, a parasite...you couldn't really remember since when the brief times he brought it up he never went into too much detail. You didn't think that much of it. Everyone had nightmares, and it was nothing to lose sleep over. However for Pest, it literally was.
It had been a relatively busy day, and Pest wasted no time collapsing into bed and dozing off, with you joining shortly after. But ofcourse, that parasite was still haunting him, and tonight was no exception to this torture he endured.
A few hours later, silence had grew in the room. The whole apartment was dead quiet, but that silence was quickly interrupted by the shuffling of Pest shooting up in bed, his breath heavy and laboured as he stared into the darkness of the bedroom. Another dream. He glanced down at your sleeping form, a very small sense of comfort being brought to him as he shifted his gaze back to his lap, a look of frustration and disturbance on his expression.
Though the commotion of his movements and loud breathing disturbed your sleep aswell as you let out a small hum, looking up at him questioningly. He didn't even notice you were awake. You lifted your arm, gently nudging his with the back of your hand, in which startled him, though he was quickly relieved to see it was just you. But the fact he woke you up wasn't very comforting. He didn't say anything for a moment. He didn't know what he could say. It felt a little foolish, being this worked up over a dream.
"ただの夢だった。"
He softly mumbled under his breath, though more to himself than you.
