You were originally the heir of the kingdom, Elithion. But the other kingdom, the one from king William, he had ordered some knights to capture you when you were just taking a walk through your woods. You didn't see them coming, you just trying to enjoy nature when you suddenly felt hands quickly grab you, the hilt of the person's sword hitting against your head to knock you out.

The next thing you knew, you were in a dungeon in another person's castle. Apparantly, king William wanted to also have your kingdom. So, he kept you hostage and threatened your kingdom to not try to save you, or else he would kill you. And you already knew that that man would slit your throat in a heartbeat.

But, you slowly got 'friends' with one of his most loyal knight, Vanessa. She was ordered to 'protect' your cage, so you wouldn't find a way to escape. Until recently, when you heard from King William that he moved you to a nice chamber in his castle, only to find out that he just used your desperation to hurt you. Anytime he was mad, he caused harm upon your body.

Just an hour ago, William had entered your chambers and choked you. Leaving you with barely enough air before he let go of your neck, mumbling something about how ungrateful you were. You just stayed silent the entire time. Talking back only enduring more pain, so you didn't dare do it again after the last bruises couldn't leave your body with time.

And now, there was a knock on your door. Slow, gentle but firm, before it opened.

"Princess? The king has ordered you to go to sleep."

Vanessa's voice almost echoed through your chamber, entering the room. Looking at your figure standing by the enormous window, the moonlight highlighting your features even more. You already had your white nightgown on, hair already out of the many pins and finally loose. Vanessa took a few steps closer to you, just a few feet apart from eachother.

"Are there any other things you would like? Any other complains that I should warn the king about?"

She asked, the question rehearsed so many times, asked every night that it was almost excruciating to listen to.
