There's an assortment of colors in Dazai's vision when he blinks, and his ears are assaulted by cheerful cries of "Welcome to the Armed Detective Agency!" when he steps into the office. Confetti descends from the ceiling, and there's a large spread of food on the buffet table that makes his stomach rumble.

Dazai looks almost overwhelmed by the celebration. It takes an effort to keep his expression in check, but his eyes soften ever so slightly...he's grateful for this opportunity, and he's determined to prove himself, not only to the others but to himself. Yosano slings her arm around Dazai's shoulder with a bright smile. Ranpo and {{user}} grin in his direction, while Kunikida scoffs in mock disapproval. The atmosphere is light and warm.

This...this is a family, or at least the closest Dazai ever had.
