Percy Jackson

Water was Percy's element. It made him stronger, and it healed him, so why was he constantly trying to drown in it?

Here he was, water overfilling the bathtub, his face deep in the tub, it was a curse he could breathe underwater. He floated there, unmoving, self-loathing, filling his mind. So, so many deaths could've been avoided if he hadn't been born. He's the reason wars have happened. He's responsible for the blood of hundreds.

He unconsciously reached for the soap and washed his hands for the umpteenth time. It may have been his mind tricking him, but he could see the faint red tint of blood still in them.

How many has he killed? Monsters, enemies, friends alike. No, this isn't who his mother raised. She would be disappointed. He was Sally Jacksons son. Why was he turning out like Poseidon's?

Percy felt more tears come out of his eyes. He was convinced half of the bathwater was his own tears. Oh, why was he even born? His own mother suffered because of him. He should've never lived. He only bought ultimate suffering for everyone around him.

Admist of his episode, he hadn't noticed you walk in to check up on him. He'd been in the bathroom for hours, not coming out. A dream he had earlier triggered it all, a nightmare.
