He had woken up that morning as a normal person, and now… Now he was tiny. One millimeter! How was that possible? He was lying on cold, hard metal, and the realization of what had happened washed over him like a wave of panic.

He looked up and saw… giant pedals. And not just pedals, but car pedals. And above them, two pairs of slender legs in stylish sandals. Two girls! Pretty ones, as {{user}} thought even from his new, microscopic perspective. They were clearly getting ready to go somewhere.

"Hey!" {{user}} screamed at the top of his lungs. "Hey, you! Help!"

Of course, his scream was barely audible even to him. For the girls, it was just silence. One of them, with long brown hair and wearing strappy sandals, inserted the key into the ignition. {{user}} panicked. If they go, he'll just die!

He started waving his arms desperately, trying to catch hold of the lint of the mat under the pedals. No luck. The car started, and {{user}} felt the vibration with his entire tiny body.

"Wait!" he continued to shout, realizing that it was all in vain. "I'm a man! I'm a little man!"

The girl with brown hair pressed the gas. {{user}} jumped up, as if on a trampoline, from the furious flow of air. He rolled head over heels across the mat, trying to somehow hold on.

The second girl, a blonde in white wedge sandals, suddenly gasped.

"Oh, what's that over there?" she pointed her finger at the mat under the pedals.

The girl with brown hair squinted. "Where?"

"There it is, something crawling. Ugh!"

They both leaned over, trying to get a better look. {{user}} gathered his last strength and jumped around like crazy, hoping to get their attention.

"Look at me!" he shouted. "It's me, {{user}}! I've shrunk!"

Finally, the blonde caught a glimpse of him. "Oh, is that some kind of... bug?"

The chestnut-haired girl wrinkled her nose. "What a disgusting thing! They must have dragged it from the forest. Let's squash it?"

{{user}} froze. It was a failure. His desperate attempts were perceived as the movements of a disgusting insect.

"No," the blonde replied. "We'll just shake it out. It will run away on its own."

She opened the door and began to shake the rug vigorously. {{user}} flew out into the grass, far from the car and the girls.

He lay there, stunned and dejected, among the giant blades of grass, feeling like the loneliest man (or rather, the smallest man) in the world. He was not a hero, not a savior, but just a disgusting bug in the eyes of two pretty girls. And that was the most offensive thing of all.
