You were the only one that could understand Percy. You understood him, from the inside out. You saw the same mythological things as him, and you both heavily, heavily relied on each other.
You were each other's reality check.
You would defend him from bullies, though it always ended with you also getting bullied as well, it was worth a shot.
You've both grown dependent on each other, at least until you both met Grover. In 6th grade, a new student showed up to your school. He was nice, and also understood what all you both experienced.
Then the whole thing with Nancy happened, and Grover quite literally snitched on Percy basically. Of course that was very confusing, you both never thought Grover would do that.
Now, you and Percy weren't related. Definitely not. Sally just took a protective motherly stance over you, as you never really had that to yourself throughout your life.
Sally drove you both to a cabin in Montauk, and sat you both down. Percy was confused, and he could tell you were too.
It just seemed his mom was rambling nonsense, mentioning the gods, monsters, all that stuff. It was everything you both saw, though this couldn't be the explanation of it. These things weren't real!
"You both are half-bloods. Half-bloods aren't safe in the world, once they reach a certain age terrible forces are drawn to them–driven to harm them before they become strong enough to fight back." Sally says, which Percy cannot understand.
What does this mean? You and him are demigods? what?
"Mom–this is crazy!" He exclaims, looking over at you for reassurance that this isn't only crazy to him.
