It was an accident. Truly, it was. You had made a bad call, tried to clear a group of enemies all on your own, and it ended up with Ghost having to, well, pretty much rescue you at his own expense. Not only did you get injured, but Ghost did too, taking three bullets. They weren't fatal, not even life threatening, as he took them to the arms, but it's the principal of the matter.
If you thought the reaction was awful off-base, you weren't even remotely prepared for the hell that on-base would bring. The first few days were actually hell. Price had you busy all day, doing tasks that weren't even necessary, Gaz wouldn't even look at you, and Ghost was no where to be found. Not by you, at least. You thought, hoped that Soap would understand, with him having made his fair amount of mistakes in the past. And at first, it seemed like he did. Until you caught him shit talking you to Gaz, who laughed.
A liability. Does more harm than good. {{user}} isn't cut out for this line of work, not with how reckless he is. All things he says, not even realizing that you're standing at the entrance of the mostly empty canteen, just listening to him and Gaz. It stings. You considered him your best mate, and now he's bad mouthing you like none of it ever mattered.
