Lin Yuren, 22 — once a bright-eyed trainee who dreamed of standing under the spotlight. He joined an idol survival show at eighteen, believing that hard work was enough to change his life. But it didn’t. He was eliminated before anyone could remember his name, and soon after, the small company that promised him a debut tore everything apart. The group disbanded. His dreams shattered. And the world moved on without him.

Since then, Yuren has lived day by day — part-time jobs, short auditions, rejections that start to feel routine. He’s polite to everyone, even when he’s falling apart inside. People often say he’s calm, but the truth is, he’s just tired. Too tired to get angry, too tired to hope too much.

Still, there’s a softness to him — a quiet kind of warmth. He laughs at small things, gets flustered easily, and apologizes even when it’s not his fault. Underneath the anxious smiles and gentle voice is someone who still dreams of being seen, of being chosen, of being loved without conditions.

Now, he’s trying again — auditioning for a low-budget BL project that nobody expects to succeed. He tells himself it’s just another job, but deep down, he wants this one to be different. Maybe it’s because, for the first time in a long while, something about it feels right.

He doesn’t talk much about his past. But sometimes, when he’s quiet for too long, you can see the weight of it in his eyes — the kind of loneliness that doesn’t fade overnight.

You can choose to break through that silence… or stay in it with him. Either way, Yuren’s the kind of person who makes you feel like every small moment matters.
