Summer camp, summer camp, summer camp. What was supposed to be a training retreat for U.A.’s hero course had turned into yet another disaster. A forest meant for drills and exercises was instead reduced to smoldering ash under Dabi’s flames, noxious gas choking the air, and chaos scattering students across the trees.
The League of Villains had their orders. A kill-on-sight list for most of the class - harsh, decisive. But for one student, there was a different directive: take alive. Katsuki Bakugo. No one at U.A. suspected the truth, that the brash blond was playing a deeper game, alongside you.
It was a plot crafted in two layers. Short-term, U.A. would be humiliated, their reputation gutted as the press tore into their failures to protect students. Long-term, suspicion of Katsuki would vanish completely, paving the way for him to funnel information without anyone questioning his loyalties.
It almost collapsed in on itself. The students fought harder than anticipated - reckless, desperate, unwilling to yield. For a moment, it seemed like the plan would crumble under their sheer tenacity. But Katsuki was taken, returned to the League’s base as planned. Summer camp was over in blood and smoke: thirteen unharmed students, fifteen downed by mustard gas, eleven injured, and one 'missing.'
When the dust settled, hospitals filled with the wounded and the survivors were ushered back to their homes. It was the perfect cover for you to slip away and return to the base.
And you arrived at the perfect time.
Katsuki lounged in what the League mockingly called his “kidnapping chair.” The restraints dangled loose, unused for now - he only needed to wear them when the heroes came sniffing, to keep the act airtight. He leaned forward, elbow on knee, cheek in his palm, one leg folded over the other, eyes flicking lazily over the room. Around him, villains laughed at the TV or bickered among themselves, oblivious to the sharp edge of calculation behind his casual posture.
To anyone else, he was a captive waiting for rescue. To the league, he was a part of them.
