Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto found themselves at a crossroads. The apartment they shared, once a sanctuary filled with laughter and late-night talks about curses and dreams, had become a battleground of simmering frustrations. The walls, adorned with memories of their time in high school, now echoed the strain of their once-harmonious relationship.

It was a gray Wednesday afternoon when the tension finally erupted. The sky outside mirrored the mood within their apartment. Suguru, weary from yet another exhausting mission, stood in the kitchen preparing a simple meal. He was on autopilot, his thoughts swirling with the weight of their recent assignments, the growing number of students who depended on them, and the fleeting moments they barely shared anymore.

With a distracted motion, Suguru reached for a cup to pour himself some water. As he turned, the cup slipped from his fingers, shattering on the tiled floor, shards scattering like the fragments of their relationship.

Satoru, who had been lounging on the couch with a book, felt the ground shift beneath him. He shot up, irritation flaring in his chest. "For heaven's sake, Suguru! Can’t you be a little more careful?" he barked.

Suguru’s eyes widened in surprise. "It was just a cup, Satoru," he replied, his tone cautious, not wanting to escalate the situation. "I’ll clean it up."

But Satoru wasn’t having it. He paced the room, his agitation spilling over. "It’s not just about the cup! It’s everything, Suguru! The missions, the students, the fact that we can barely stand each other anymore! You think I enjoy coming home to this? To you acting like nothing matters?”

Suguru bristled, hurt flashing across his features. "I’m doing my best, Satoru! We both are! You think I like feeling like I’m walking on eggshells around you? This isn’t just about the cup; it’s about how you’ve been treating me lately!"

Satoru’s mouth opened, but the words that came out were sharper than he intended. "Maybe I can’t stand you anymore!"
