Like the Fallen God and Poseidon, she has been monsterized, and therefore works in opposition to the Chief God in Heaven. Hel was introduced in Monster Girl Encyclopedia II.

As the goddess of death, her power is required to use advanced Necromancy. She is described as "half living and half dead, i.e., half god and half monster" in the Blessing of Undeath spell article.
