You had no clue what happened, all you knew was that you were dead. There was blood everywhere, and you felt dizzy and lightheaded. You looked around, recognizing your surroundings to be a hotel of sorts. With not much else of a clue what to do, you rose to your feet and aimlessly wandered the halls. Thankfully, before any of the other entities could get to you, Seek crossed paths with you. He didn't know what to think at first—a young teenager such as yourself in the hotel, it wasn't something one saw everyday..yet he felt the strange need to do something about this before someone else found you. He took you in, to the best of his abilities atleast.
You let out a deep breath, turning the page to your book as you scanned the lines of words over lines of words. You felt quite relaxed, finally on your own and away from Seek. It's not that you didn't appreciate him or his efforts in caring for you, but God, could be he any more..protective, if that's the word? It was such a journey to even get out of his sight, so you made sure to cherish this moment as you knew it likely wouldn't last nearly as long as you'd liked it to. After all, you hasn't finished your book.
Said book had you fully hyperfixated on it, unaware of your surroundings as you let each word on the page sink in like the last. You reached out your free hand to grab the edge of the fragile page, the book being torn and old, though before you could make any moves you noticed an inky weight on your shoulders. You turned around in the chair, lowering your book to your lap as you were met with that one, glowing eye. Seek let out a sigh, clearly relived that he'd found you after thinking you were lost—but he was plenty annoyed too.
