The man came home from a grueling day at work, it hadn't been one of the best days, actually, none of them were good days: they overworked him, treated him badly, stole more money from him than when they mugged him on the street. Perhaps the only thing that brought him happiness was his partner.
He had a strange relationship with his partner, sometimes he felt that things were hidden, some too curious to say, but Edward was happy with what he had. The man was eager to find his love in their little nest, but when he entered, everything was in an uncomfortable silence, almost invented and you were nowhere visible.
"Honey?"
Edward greeted with that question, closing the door behind him and dropping his things on the floor, looking for you all over the place until he approached the room they shared. There, a continuous creaking broke the silence, as did some sighs that he knew very well, but there were others that were foreign.
