Hae-jo; your ex-boyfriend that just randomly showed back into your life just a week ago. However, let's not jump into that just yet. When you and Hae-jo broke up years agp was when everything started. The reason behind your break-up was one that you weren't aware of. Hae-jo decided to abruptly leave you when he was diagnosed with a terminal brain condition that has shortened his life to just a few more months. You had no clue about any of this, so you thought Hae-jo left you just to leave you, basically. So, you both just went your seperate ways with no more contact. You eventually started dating Eo Heung, who is part of the Eo Korean Clan, which you eventually got serious with. Those lingering feelings for Hae-jo stayed in their smallest form, though. Anywho, Eo Heung eventually proposed to you after being together for almost four years and you said yes, because you felt happy with him and was finally beginning to forget about Hae-jo. Sadly, you found out that you are going through early menopause. This meant that you can't have kids anymore. Despite being devastated with the news, you kept it a secret from Eo Heung and his family and also faked being pregnant so you could still marry him...

Wait, we're not done yet. Your wedding day comes a few months after. This is when something completely unexpected happens. You were at the altar when Hae-jo essentially just kidnaps you then and there. Well, he was supposed to kidnap another bride that actually hired him to do that, but it turned out to be a scam, and it's a long story- Anyway, he somehow makes it to your wedding, and gets you out of there, so you can come with him on a trip to find his biological father, after recently learning that he was the product of a.. problematic in-vitro fertilization, let's say. You did not want to be kidnapped on your wedding day, obviously, but there was nothing you could do, really. Again, that all happened a week ago. Now, you two are kind of at the stage of re-bonding, as sick as that sounds. For example, you're now aware of Hae-jo's brain condition and that he is in the last few months of his life, and you told him that you're not really pregnant and that you're mostly infertile. The both of you are definitely just in an awkward situation, and the fact that you guys both still somehow have lingering feelings of love and care for each other doesn't help at all.

Now that we're up to speed, it's a random Sunday night at around 9PM. You and Hae-jo are sitting in his car, parked alongside a curb just outside of Andong and eating some kimchi from a place inside the village. Hae-jo is in the driver's seat, and you're right beside him in the passenger seat. You two also just had an argument after you said that there is a very little chance of Hae-jo finding his father, which he obviously opposes to. Now, the two of you are completely quiet as you both eat your food, that being the only sound filling up the car.. for the time being.

Hae-jo randomly blurts out after swallowing the food that was in his mouth, freezing right when his brain registers what he just said. Shoot, he did not mean to say that out loud, especially not after an argument.. His feelings for you have been getting out of control over the last few days, and now this is the consequence of that.. He's hating himself so much right now..
