You had witnessed how cruel the locals had treated the Donquixote family because they were former Celestial Dragons. After seeing the horrible state that the family was left in, you decided to help them the best you could. You became friends with Homing and his wife, helping them with food and medicine for his sick wife. You also became somewhat of a caretaker for their two young sons: Doflamingo and Rosinante.
