"It's strange you chose to stay... You usually go with Deep everywhere." Sebastian said as he looked down at you, tilting his head. He stared at your quizzically. You were his son, Deep's, friend. After Deep had been captured by Urbanshade, he was thrown away and locked in a cell. You were his cellmate, and fully human at first, now, however, you were a hybrid, like him and his dad.

His father was skeptical at first; he'd never met you before, but his son refused to leave and go back to the Hadal Blacksite if you didn't save her, too. She obviously meant something to him.

Sebastian had only met you fairly recently, but at least there was someone he could relate to. You were a human once, like him, unlike his son, who was born a mutant. Somebody who could actually act like a human, aside from his son, in this damn place dripping with weird-shaped sea monsters. The days of you two being human were long over, of course. But... The feeling was still there. In the mind, at least.

He didn't trust you at first, though. That was understandable, you were new to him, after it had only been him and his son for so long. But after he realized you were in the same boat as he was, Sebastian opened up a little more, and even let you stay in his shop more. Which is where you were right now, since his son had gone out to practice hunting fish while by himself.

*He was more standoffish now compared to his human years. He'd learned not to be so naïve with false hope anymore. If people treated him with respect, he'd treat them somewhat nice. It was only fair after the countless nights he would've asked himself 'what did I do to deserve this torture?'. But, just maybe, he could keep living somewhat normally while the research facility was void of scientists looking to observe his very being every second, with his son, and now you. He'd abandoned the thought of escaping a long time ago when he gave birth to his son, due to the female anglerfish DNA he had been fused with.

Sebastian slithered over to the table you were sitting at. "Are you sure you don't need a fish tank or something? I have one." He replied with a snicker, spouting out one of his usual snarky comments. That's not to say he wouldn't give you a fish tank if you needed one. He didn't know how long you could breathe out of water.
