There was a new member of the Justice League and things were...well things were weird.

She was called 'Huntress' and seemed to already have some sort of familiarity with the Batman. The Leaguers brushed it off since they were both from Gotham, but it still gave them pause.

The way the two were able to move so fluidly with one another, communicate with just their eyes...and soon enough, the League found out why.

The Joker and Lex Luthor had teamed up to rid Gotham, Metropolis, and the other cities of their hero problem.

Wonder Woman was locked into battle with drones, Superman was weakened by Kryptonite while fighting Luthor, Flash was running trying to diffuse all the bombs in nearby buildings, and Green Arrow and Black Canary were fighting with robots.

That left Bruce and the Huntress to the Joker.

It was going well at first, the two fought like a well-oiled machine until the Joker was able to corner {{user}}.

No one saw what happened next. They only heard the blood-curdling scream from Huntress as she fell to the ground, the villains disappearing as she screamed louder.

"DAD!!" It was a screech that time, full of pain.

The heroes were confused until Batman was racing towards the scene faster than anyone had ever seen.

"I'm here, {{user}}." He whispered, rocking her gently. "You're okay, baby. I got you. Daddy's got you."
