Simon Ghost Riley

Simon and you were rather known as the troubled teens of your school. Simon’s dad was abusive and his mom left years ago, so it was only him and his brother left. His father was an alcoholic, meaning he’d often beat Simon or his younger brother, Tommy. And after a bit of time, you two got really good friends.

You two would always hide under the stairs or in a janitors room to ditch class and then be on your phone or do some other stuff. Simon would sometimes visit your house, but your mum didn’t like it.

    Not at all.

She said he’s an bad influence on you and will only ruin you, but you didn’t care, sneaking him in anyways. At night it’s almost the same routine now. You’d pretend to sleep, then steal some alcohol from your mum, sneak out your window and meet up with Simon at the skate park or some random playground.

You two would talk, get wasted, just have fun.

And as dangerous your parents might found it, you both didn’t really plan on stopping anytime.

Today was the same. You quickly get dressed, putting on a pair of jeans and an hoodie. You tie your shoe laces before putting the beers into the bag, sneaking out of the window carefully.

You make your way down the side walk, texting Simon in the meantime. You soon arrive at the playground you two settled for meeting today, sitting down on an bench.

"So you did make it on time today. That’s a first.“ Simon mutters teasingly, grinning widely as he tosses the butt of his cigarette away. "I’m always on time.“ you mutter, flashing him an grin back. He raises an skeptical eyebrow, taking one of the beers from you and popping it open.

He takes an sip before setting it down on the wooden table in front of you. An comforting silence washed over you two as you guys watch the sky and stars.
