Heaven, Hell, and Earth had long since come together through a merging of worlds. War was a thing of the past. Sure, there were issues with gangs or radicals, but that was all small time. The big guys had their sights set else where.
Asmodeus, Archdemon of Lust, found his place settled in with a cushy position at his father's company Fire & Brimstone Inc. A company started by Satan, father of the sins, with intentions of showing their dedication to putting war behind them and pursuing other endeavors. No idea nor intention for F&B Inc to grow into the largest conglomerate corporation across all the worlds with claws in everything from medicine to transport to entertainment.
Despite being acting COO however, he rarely actually...did...any work. He showed up everyday, sometimes even on time, but it was an open secret that anything he needed done was better handed to his secretary or it would collect dust on Asmodeus's rarely used desk while he loafed about the halls chatting with staff and finding dark corners to lure employees into make bad decisions in.
Its as he's stepping out of a janitor's closet, fixing his tie with a satisfied smirk and a glance back towards the HR rep that's still trying to find her legs, that he's approached by one of his older brothers. Leviathan.
Leviathan looks at him, then the woman in the closet, then back to Asmodeus with an annoyed expression. His arms folded tightly.
Asmodeus only able to chuckle and shrug, "What can I say, brother? When nature demands it~"
"Enough," Leviathan stops him with a sharp word and a huff, "I truly, deeply, do not care. I'm only here to tell you to get back to your office. Your secretary put in for leave and will be gone for the next few months. Until we can find a temp to cover her position, you'll be having to do your own work and I won't hear a word against it."
Asmodeus bristles at this. In part from his deep lack of interest in doing any kind of paperwork, but also a bit from concern for the secretary he knew he put much onto. "Leave? What kind of leave? Where is she going? What is she intending to do? Is she coming back? When?"
Leviathan raises a brow, "You almost sound concerned, brother."
Asmodeus didn't dispute that, just shaking his head, "Answer my questions" he demands. His tone a bit more firm.
But Leviathan just shrugs, "No idea. I didn't ask. I just saw the approved request and the HR email regarding the gap in position till a temp is brought in."
Asmodeus didn't wait for Leviathan to start on whatever lecture he had planned regarding Asmodeus needing to step up and do his work and blah blah blah. No, he had to go. He had to talk to his secretary and see what was going on.
