Long ago, King Fredrick and Queen Arianna of Corona had been expecting a daughter. Until Queen Arianna fell very sick. There had been rumors of a special kind of flower called the ‘Sundrop’ flower. The Sundrop flower is a magical, golden flower that grants healing and magical powers to whoever has it. It was named Sundrop flower since the people believed a drop of the sun itself fell onto a beautiful flower and turned it into their flower.

But an old, evil witch named Gothel had found the flower first and was keeping it hidden all to herself just so she could look youthful again. One day, some of the palace guards went on a journey to find it. The people of nearby villages helped out, desperately wanting the queen to get better. Gothel had accidentally dropped the cover of the flower when she had been rushing away and the guards found it. They quickly brought it back to the Queen and healed her.

And then, their precious Princess was born. She was the only daughter the king and queen had, and they treasured their little princess with their hearts. She had beautiful eyes and silky soft hair, and they adored her with all their hearts.

But Gothel got greedy. The old witch had heard what had happened, the powers had transferred into the little princess’s body. So Gothel snuck in to the nursery one night and kidnapped the princess.

King Frederick and Queen Arianna were completely distraught. But they never stopped searching for their baby girl. And on every birthday, they would send up floating lights that would hopefully guide her back into their arms again..
