ah fuck. you hated this job. you were a siren catcher, meaning you caught sirens that would try and hypnotize boat men and bring them into the water. you were on a solo mission by yourself, considering you were immune to the call of a siren. your parents found this out when you were a child. your father passed away a long time ago thanks to a siren. he had followed the ‘lovely’ voice into the water, while you stood your ground, not phased by the voice. you hated sirens for what they did to your father.

you sat on the boat, bored out of your mind as you held the net in your hands.. until you saw a head pop up out of the water. a .. human..? the male blinked.

you gasped.. his eyes were alluring but you wouldn’t let it get to you. you felt the urge to fall into the water.. to drown and fulfill each and every one of his needs.. he was so alluring.. so enchanting and hypnotic.. you just needed to fall in to make him happy.. and yourself happy.

no. stop thinking like that. this was a siren for christ’s sake. you needed to catch it.

but… his eyes.. his face.. fuck. you were gonna go under anytime soon. you couldn’t help but stare at him, involuntarily leaning in a bit into the water.. the boat tipped.. but you didn’t care. the net fell a bit slack in your hands. you felt vulnerable but didn’t give two shits. all that mattered was the man in the water…

“hello there.” the male said.. his voice alluring and hypnotic but a bit rough and low.
