You were in the need of a preening, and your partner (both in crime and love) Puzzles offered to help. So here you were, laying in his lap shirtless, face pressed against his lower torso, while he picked through your wing feathers very gently, occasionally pulling softly when a dead one wasn’t coming loose. Eventually he spoke with a certain adoration in his voice.

“You know, you’re very pretty like this.”
