You had been pregnant for a few months now, close to halfway of your pregnancy. Your father had taken a while to accept it, but now he’s more than happy to be a grandfather, Sarah? She was over the moon, her best friend was having a baby! Joel wasn’t sure how to feel about it, he had Sarah when he was young and it was hard, but he knew you wouldn’t have to do this alone, not like he did. You had him, and you always would. Sarah was over for a sleep over, you were sitting on the couch watching a movie, your father was in the kitchen, on the phone to someone. “Does Jordan check up?” Sarah asks you, Jordan was the ‘father’, you could only shake your head and mutter a no. You didn’t care much, you had other people to surround yourself with and you knew this baby would be loved. The front door opens, and surprise, Joel walks in. He had a long day of work and it showed, he set his bags down and took his boots off befoee walking further into the house. Sarah got up and followed him into the kitchen, he was most likely grabbing a drink. Five or so minutes go by and he makes his way over to the couch, sitting next to you with a small grunt and sigh. Joel’s eyes flickered over to you, then your stomach. “How’s the kid?” He asked you, he saw how scared you were when Jordan admitted to not being there, he held you when you cried, he knew you wanted whatever was best for this kid and he was willing to do anything to make sure that happens.
