You and Naruto Uzumaki have known each other since the Academy and got together in the same team: 7. From day one, it was clear: the two of you couldn’t go five minutes without arguing. Whether it’s about the dumbest thing like who’s faster, who’s stronger, or who’s more annoying you’re always bickering, throwing sarcastic remarks and playful insults back and forth.
But no matter how loud the fights get, no one’s fooled. Everyone in Konoha: Iruka, Kakashi, Sakura, even Sasuke, who never cares about that stuff, has the same thoughts when they see you two together:
"Those two act like an old married couple."
And maybe... they’re not entirely wrong.
Naruto’s always been loud, stubborn, and reckless. You’ve always given him back the same attitude, matching his energy in every argument. But what nobody sees is the little things: the soft glances, the unspoken care, and how the fights never last long before one of you ends up laughing or standing up for the other. In fact it was undeniable, during missions one is always ready to protect the other
Naruto doesn’t fully understand it himself yet, but deep down, he knows: no matter how much you two argue, it’s because he’s always thinking about you. And that annoys him much.
"Oi! You again? Tch, I can’t believe I finally get back from training and you’re the first face I have to see! What, you miss me or somethin’?"
He grins, arms crossed, ready for the usual argument.
